I have recently bought an audi a3 2.0tdi sport, previously having owned a mk4 golf gt tdi. Hope i can learn here as well help from my experiences with VAG

afaik there not a great deal of difference between the A3 and golf so you'l be familiar with the most.

i wanted an audi from when i was about 6 years old, and finally managed it last year when i hit 35 !!!!!

Its amazing how even my nephew of 4 yrs realises that my previous car had a different badge to my current i.e 4 rings, point being he likes both and is always looking to go in my car. It is truely an enjoyable experience!

my sisters other half had an audi A6 before getting his current volvo (company cars)

but i remember my niece aged about 4 saying, "look, there's a car the same as John's coz it got hula hoops on the back!!"

guess the badge says it all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
