I know you have in particular asked for dealers in essex, but its worth calling stafford audi because you get dealership quality at half the price! and you can make a weekend away from home, of it!

Hope it helps!

Great garage !!! I was referred to john austins as my audi had done 80000 miles and audi bury st edmunds had quoted me £1550 to have a main service and cambelt and water pump service.John austin quoted me £880 for everything using genuine parts which also included two drive rollers and a new drive belt and included a courtesy car. Paul kept us informed throughout the day and even gave me the old parts back to show me the wear on them without me even asking him too.
My car runs like a dream again.

I'll second John Austin's, had a starting problem (still have from cold) but they took a look on their diagnostic at very short notice, couldn't see a problem, so didn't charge. How often does that happen?

If you're not already sorted, I'd try CARS (Chelmsford Accident Repair Service) in the middle of Chelmsford. Don't be put off by the fact that the bulk of their work is accident repairs.

Very customer-friendly, and appear to be competent in the work they've done for me. They will always ask you if you want genuine parts fitted (e.g. so that you can keep up the warranty).

Not an Audi "specialist" but for a service I would recommend them (also do cut-price MOTs though I haven't had an MOT there yet).
Should be able to do you a courtesy car for a tenner, though last time I was in I borrowed one of their manager's cars so they didn't charge me anything.

Another happy John Austin customer here.

Has a warning light come on the other day, popped in on my way home from work and they plugged the diag tool in straight away and booked it in for a new coolant sensor a couple of days later. The car has always been serviced there and never had any problems!

Paul Baileys, Bickenacre. VWAudi trained. Good old fashioned service. They have had all of my audi's for the last 8 years and I cannot fault them.
