I have a 95 and 94 vento gl. On the 95 model it starts and drives but sounds a bit sluggish and has a slight splurge sound when pressing accelerator. I have replaced the cat,center box,02 sensor,radiator,ht leads and dizzy cap also new cam-belt (with all TDC marks on the right places) and a couple hoses. The car was bought on a mot fail due to exhaust gases said to be caused by leaky head gasket. Which I have not found but what I did find was that I am able to advance and retard the distributor with out it making any difference to the engine revs but on my other vento I just have to turn it a millimeter and it makes a difference. So I swapped the two over with the 95 one not starting the 94 model but the 94 one starting the 95 model but even though the 94's dizzy starting the 95 model it still won't advance or retard it. so if any one can give some advise that will be great.
