Vwaudiforum Meet - Cast Your Vote!

Hi,

This has been tried and tested before but failed due to lack of intrest...

Is any one interested in a forum meet at a car event of some sort??

If so, please log your interest above and i will "try" to arrange something.

As we are mostly UK members we will look at something mid england somewhere, but there is nothing stopping us from arranging a few, and linking to events which are accessible to all..

Any advice or events which would be of interest please post..

I will reassess this thread around the end of May and we can take it from there!!!

This is my idea,

As I tend to go to a few motoring events (at least once a month), its will be best to link it up with an event then we can all have a chat onlocation and then go onto the event as a group or just wander off on your own...

That way if people dont turn up etc, you have not wasted your time and can carry on your day at the event!

I was the other 1 & could be up for it depending on dates, I've a new little VAG fan arriving around the 14 June, so that kind of rules out June for me.

A thought I put up on the Southern meet post. What about booking a track or something like that. Be hard to organise & would probably need definate numbers & cash up front (for those wishing to track)(spectators can watch & chat VAG etc), but it can be done as Performance VW mag & others hold track days at Brands often enough.
Sprinted the Scirocco last weekend & was only 10 secs off the pace of the fastest car (Porsche GT3RS) over 1.83km, not too shabby for a 1.8 8v.

Why not make it the BVF at the 3 counties show ground. Thats a massive annual event. I go every year. its in July this year. 4/5/6 I believe.:beerchug:

Need to put some mileage on my car again anyway. Summer's here, the weather is nice, tent is lready packed (just in case) so I'm all up and ready for it...

I would be interested although I work every Sunday apart from when I'm on holiday. So good forward planning would be needed. Is there any weekend car shows that the forum could be present at? I don't mind distance too much but would appreciate if there could be a caravan site nearby. Some shows also provide camping areas.
