HELP! NO REVERSE LIGHTS

Hi i have had my S4 for one month and just noticed the other day that the reverse lights are not coming on i have checked the fuse and that seems ok any ideas anyone my local audi garage charges 115 quid an hour labour so i would like to resolve this one myself cheers lee.

check the bulbs u never now

if not i would check the reverse light switch

cool will do tomorrow is the switch just a standard gearbox switch or is it on the stick.

yeah it will be the reverse light switch.

What year is the car??

its a 2003 model the 4.2 v8 one do you have any idea how to test the switch and where it is i am assuming it is on the gearbox
