Hi i have an 03 audi a3 1.9 tdi 130 which has been chipped etc...i have about 77000 and i'm not sure if the cambelt has been done it has been very well looked after and serviced through out. Any ideas roughly on when the cambelt should be done if not done already or around what mileage :biglaugh::biglaugh::1zhelp::1zhelp::zx11:

Hi, its every 40 K or 5 years, wichever comes first ! I can replace the cambelt for 220 pounds all in. You will get a Contitech/Gates cambelt kit (includes tensioner and relay roller), new uprated KWP/Meyle water pump, aux. drive belt and AC belt (if fitted), fresh coolant and a diagnostic check. I also travel to you (within M25) for fuel money... Regards, Chris- 07841206564.

I thought you could go up to 60k on a cambelt?

I think the official Audi service schedule says 60k - if it hasn't been replaced, or you aren't sure if/when it was replaced I would recommend getting it done sooner rather than later, a snapped cam belt day is not a happy day :nervous:
