Hi there

I had a mobile mechanic out today to look at the problem I have on my car. I have been losing brake fluid, which has steadily got worse over the past few months. It came to a head when my clutch was so loose, it just fell to the back of the footwell when I tried to press it down. The mechanic and I put two and two together and came to the conclusion that the leak will be on my clutch slave cylinder. I have now ordered a new one. But after a phonecall to a friend, he was surprised that my clutch used the brake/clutch fluid from the master cylinder of my brakes hydraulic system. Is this right for the AUDI 80's? Or has my mechanic got it wrong and told me to order the wrong part. Does my clucth not have a master cyilnder? Im so rubbish with cars and im very confused here hehe!

Yes... keep an eye on the fluid level alright... I think you should get a warning light on the dash for the fluid level if it goes too low, but best to get it fixed asap.
