Will be doing a full overhaul on the front suspension on my 1995 a6 2.6 next weekend, been reading the haynes manual preparing things. One thing i am a bit unsure about is the mention of having some kind of special tool to take the bottom arms off from the subframe, says something about an M12 thread.Anyone know what this tool is?

The only tools required are a ball joint seperator and subframe aligner, make sure you replace all the bolts removed and the upper suspension arm bolt can be a pig, dont hit it with a hammer as the bolt will beng in the suspension housing and then your in the poo

subframe aligner? im not actually taking the subframe off just the struts, will be changing the shock/springs and all the bearings/covers etc.How do i get the sleeve out that goes through the inner end of the arm?
