engine light on dash

can any one help the orange light came on my dash, its the one that looks like an engine. I had it plugged in at my local garage and they told me it was the engine temp sensor, so I had a new one fitted within 24 hours it came back on. the car is an a4 avant 2004.

mine said temp sense there is 3 ov these mine turned out to be the one in the bottom ov the rad

I had the one at the back of the engine changed so if there is one on the rad where is the other one

well mines a petrol and theres one at back ov lump bottom ov rad and one in thermostat but iif that 1 goes u change full thermostat thats on the right when your lookin from front of car behind the alt and lower down
