no temp reading or aircon

On my climate control panel the temperature gauge reading shows _ _ instead of digits and there is no cold air. Has aircon packed up or something else? Any ideas (dash temp reading is still there)

did you get this sorted as my tdi130 did the same thing this morning but is now workin ok bloody cars lol

you should have your car checked for fault codes. I think that you should find a faulty otside temp, sensor

My wifes did this when we were at 26C in France-no aircon or display.
The manual says in extreme temps the compressor will shut itself off to prevent damage and after an hour sitting in the shade everything worked as normal again.
