Some advice please. Our 2002 1.2 Ibiza has come up with an MIL Warning light and three codes are recorded:- 16500, 17811 & 16804.

The interesting thing is after only 24 hours of resetting them all three codes are back up with the warning lamp.

Question: does this indicate three independent faults (cat - bank one efficiency below threshold, egr range/performance problem & cooling water temperature range/performance problem) or a faulty sensor?

Your help in solving this would be much appreciated.

After much time and expense I have removed two of the three MIL codes and am now left with 16804 cat - bank one efficiency below threshold. However, a BOSCH specialist has tested the cat, both sensors, changed the EGR unit and replaced an air intake valve and the problem persists. If the specialist thought the the cat needed replacing I would do it in a flash. However, the CO2 measurements (MOT test standard check) are fine. I am now at a loss! The MIL light is easily reset, but is now really bugging me. Any ideas?
