Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and am looking to buy a audi a4 turbo sport. I have seen a 1998 model with 75k for £2800.

can anyone give me some advantages and disadvantage for this car? also on around £20 fuel how much milage on average do you get?

is there anything to lok out for when i go to view it?
also apart from the turbo what difference is there to this then a a4 sport?

thanks in advance.

£20 will get you 70 miles if you are lucky, 1 have a 1999 1.8t sport
and they are beautiful to drive and very quick, mine has done 116k but as long as you keep on top of them they dont go wrong, bear in mind when they do they are not cheap, be careful as that sounds too cheap!

Is this a 150 bhp model? If its any help, my passat turbo averages 33-34 mpg on a tank, and I recently got 37mpg on a 350 mile motorway run. Mine has issues with the turbo however, so whether it'll be more or less economical when i fix it, I couldn't say! Any help? I don't know if the audi has different gear ratios? The sport models may have closer gears, i've no idea i'm afraid, should be easy to find out tho.

...PS I put £42 in mine before my motorway run, and used the remainder up travelling to work, total milage 370 (which i was chuffed with! so 20 quid would get me at least 150 miles i reckon.

I agree with the last post. My A4 turbo sport gets around 150 miles to 20 quid. It all comes down to how you drive it I guess. If you drive it hard, you will use a lot more. The 150 miles I mentioned was taking it pretty easy.
