hi all

i have tried searching to answer my query but to no avail...

i am looking at buying a B7 A4 2.0 TDi (170) S-Line in the near future, but i waned to know if there is any visual differences between the 170bhp version and the 140bhp version

i would happily have the 140bhp version if a nice one came up... but i just wanted to to know if there was a quick and easy way of knowing what i was buying

not that i dont trust car dealers or anything of course!! ;)

thanks in advance

Hi,

On the 140 TDI the exhaust was just to the left only.. on the 170 it was twin pipes on either side if i remember correctly.

I have a 170BHP S-Line Special edition. This has a number of visual differences that I think really benefit the car (unbias opinion of course)
The Special edition has been de-chromed, has the RS4 alloys and foot pedals, and the petrol engine has cross drilled front discs.
Not sure about the standard 170BHP version though

Hi,

I've just bought an Avant special edition - from what I could see over the past few months looking at the Audi used car locator and the Autotrader there are a lot of special editions for sale at the moment.

I'm guessing it is because the new A4 is now being delivered so a lot of people will be "upgrading".

Gareth.

rick t, that is correct, 170bhp, has two single pipes, one on each side.
