Scirocco tuning - Little help/Adivce please

I've just bought my first Scirocco, it's a MK2 1.8i 8v (unsure of year and exact model).

It's seen it's fair share of miles, and the rest. Consequently, it's down on power. At the minute I'm just looking for a few simple/short term fixes. Maybe something along the lines of, Air Intake kits, exhaust mods or something similar.

Any advice on what to look for and where to look for it would be a great help.

Changing out the stock air filter for a K&N FilterCharge (http://www.filterpower.co.uk/)r is a simple mod. It will let the engine breathe better and give you a better engine sound when you rev the motor. For exhaust mods..initially a Janspeed exhaust system, @£250 from Demon Tweeks (http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/). That will give you a bit more HP at the wheel.
