Where was my A4 made?

I am trying to import an Audi A4 which I bought second hand (in China from a german Diplomat) into belgium, but need to contact the manufacturter to get a European certificate of Conformity. To get that i need to find out exactly where the car was made - can I do this from the chassis number and if so - how?

The 11th digit from the left of the chassis number denotes the built plant, e.g. A=Ingolstadt and N=Neckarsulm.

contacting audi direct (in Ingolstadt) sems to be difficult - how do I find an email address or tel no? (Audi Belgium just told me to phone the dealer that originally sold the car - difficult):

If you are still in china contact Audi China dirrect as they will be able to help you or it should be all in the hand book who sold the car and they will be able to help or just Audi Belgum and ask them to give you Audi Germany contact info so you can contact them your self.
