Hi,

My Trunk's central locking has stopped working.
I disassembled the lock engine (picture attached) and it appears to be a very simple engine that has two wiring leads.

I used a test bulb to verify that current arrives these leads when the central locking is switched on and off.

Since this is just a simple engine without any micro switch, then I assume that engine "opens" and "closes" the door by rotating to one side when opening the doors and rotating to the opposite direction when closing the doors.
This could be achieved by giving a + current at one lead and then the + on the second lead.

Is this correct? How can I make sure that the electric wiring is correct (currently I see current only on one of the leads?)

Eitan

Hi You are correct, you can check the polarity by using a diode test lamp
