I have recently bought a 2.0 TDI DSG EOS and want to now retrofit the latest Navigation system to it.

I have quite a bit (well an awful lot actually) of experience of doing this with Mercedes cars but am now looking to do this on my wife's 2007 EOS.

Has anyone done this? If so are there any guides around? In particular i'm interested to know if I need any special loom adapters or coding of the car after the install?

I am a Teleatlas reseller so getting the navigation disks isnt an issue;)

Thanks for any help.

I fitted an mfd2, the non touch screen model to a 2008 golf without any issue, simply plug & play - I used the guide below:

As far as I know the RNS510 is also plug & play.

That was/is very helpful. Thank you.

I intend to make a number of modifications to the EOS, starting with navigation. I will also add cruise control, multifunction steering whee, TVl and if I can fathom it out, a proper bluetooth phone integration that works with the cars steering wheel controls and navigation unit. I'm staggered that VW dont offer any factory phone pre-wiring for the EOS.

I have a Mercedes A class that i've added Comand navigation, linguatronic, full leather, ipod, heated seats, designo trim to. I'm in the business of Mercedes retrofits and after doing my wife's EOS (using it as a test bed) I plan to start offering modifications to VW's also. I have a Mercedes genuine STAR diagnosis system which is invaluable. does anyone know the cost of getting a genuine VW diagnosis system and wher I might get one? Not interested in Ebay fakes, I need the real thing.

Thanks for any help,

Hi,

Did you retrofit the multifunction Steering Wheel? I'm also interested in doing this. I've the board computer half display (not the full one) and it seems a little bit hard to do this.

I already know it's not difficult, it's a matter of have the right parts. You need the mfsw, the mfsw module that are under the steering wheel and the VAG COM to communicate with the car software and change the mfsw parameters. Having the full board computer display helps. It seems some difficult to know the right part number for the mfsw module in order to steering wheel really work.

And what about to retrofit the auto lights on? And rain sensor? And alarm?

Kind regards.
