On the Passat tonight (2001 130 Sport 95K) I noticed the drivers side front tyre is wearing along the first inch or so of its inside edge.

It drives fine with no knocks, wobbles, pulling left or right, nothing!

So can a tracking fault only effect one tyre?? or is it suspension changing time?.

I have seen this on cars that have had damper/springs changed or rebuilt and not re-aligned using the proper top mount to strut fork alignment jig. Forcing the fork to align onto the forward lower arm pulls the geometry out and no amount of tracking will rectify this

Cheers crasher.

As far as I know its still on its original dampers/springs. With this info could it still be a tracking issue????

I've not had the car long so I'm still getting to know my way around so what arms and bushes have I got that can cause this problem??

It needs inspecting on a ramp for wear then a tracking check.
