View Full Version : A4 1.9tdi Warning Hickup?

On the recent cold mornings when temp just above zero my engine management warning displays a 'failure of ABS or low brake fluid' warning with three beeps then goes out.

This only happens on first start. All other times and when temp higher it does not display. Only just started to happen in recent weeks.

2001 'Y' plate and 54,000 miles.

Fluid all OK (and I changed fluid in October).

Is this a common problem?

Is this just a sensor fault?

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot,

Richard.

more than likely a sensor will be at fault.. Check the codes out of VAG-COM and report the codes back to us..

Cheers

(Many thanks, Rick, and sorry I have taken longer to come back but I have had a delayed return. Seems my keyboad cannot spell hiccup either!)

A friend of my son has VAG-COM and so I will check it out in a week or two and come back. Guess it is obviously a sensor (or the EMU itself - ugh!).

Richard.
