Hi David,

Yes the TDi's are amazing. I used to have TDI 150 Golf and it was brillaint to drive. The touque is great fun, and just where you want the power for most driving. However, for my small 12k miles a year, and with an extra £1500 cost for a diesel over my petrol model I had to settle for the 2.0L (petrol) sport model!

I too have the basic on-board computer, however I think it's a fair old job to update the dash etc with a more advanced set up. But - a rear boot spoiler and arm rest are fairly easy to fit. I'm looking for both myself. The rear spoilers seem to go for around £30/40 on e-bay, however the arm rests are a little more expensive at £120! I'm still on the hunt for a cheaper option should anyone know where to find them?

you can get the arm rest from breakers online for about £70.00 each..

depends which cloth you have tho....

Grey material, let me know next time you happen to see one!

So what plans have you for your Sport Rick?

no real plans... was after a pair of 17 or 18 inch 5 spokes but did not see any at the right price... I was looking for them as the treads on the front of mine were low and watned to combined a upgrade when the tyres needed changing... however did not find owt!!

so i changed the treads and have hung back....

I have just booked to go to the WRC Rally in Sweden in Feb for 6 nights with my mates so best not push it with our lass if you know what i mean!! LOL!

However looking at getting a A3 2.0T mid summer.. will see..

Hi Lads,
I have a 2001 y sport.
62k onthe clock, 6 cd in dash auto changer and everything else really. my local audi (norwich) are doing an offer on cruise control for 200 odd notes at the mo which i am tempted to go for and i also would not mind an arm-rest.
Mine is the very dark navy / demin blue so you have a hard job noticing the low body colour changes and if anything i think it compliments this colour. I live in the country though so it is very rare for my car to be clean!!!
