I have a 2.0SE and it has given us faultless driving for the last 3yrs, today totally out of the blue there was a wining noise, quite unpleasant, every time I was in third and to a lesser extent fourth. Car still drives as normal with no sign of any slipping from the clutch.

i am thinking that this could be a clutch problem, with the thrust bearing or the like has any-one got any ideas, thanks?:confused:
