wierd whistling noise on acceleration??

on my 03 sport tdi 130,every time i acclerate or deaccelerate i can hear some whistling noise,its like having dumpvalve fitted,whoosh all the time.But when over 2k rpm in full boost noise stops and then comes again on lift off.I checked the pipework,and everything looks good.im confused here,and also noise seems to be coming from passenger side? wierd?

any info lads?

It does sound like a boost leak.

im suspecting the intercooler pipes,theres oil around them.But why then after 2k rpm noise stops

I've currently got a boost leak somewhere.

Rather irritatingly, it must be one of the smallest holes in the most difficult to spot places in my engine bay....

PITA to find, but worth the effort once you've sorted it....

a tip, if you intend to replace any of the vac hoses, make sure you do one at a time, as it's fairly easy to lose your way....
