Hi could anyone tell me where i find the bettery on it and how i replace it?

Hi,

It's very straightforward.


insert small flat bladed screwdriver into hole above vw badge (see pic #1)
Seperate 2 halves of key.
Insert same screwdriver carefully at point arrrowed in pic #2, and turn.
2 halves of unit should come apart giving access to battery.To reassemble, just push back together.

thanks gasman. Does the bettery go down + facing down, and what about the 2nd battery, is that + facing down too?

When replacing the battery just put the new one the same way round as the old one. The case is also marked + and -, so it shouldn't be too difficult.
