Hi, i've just had a service completed on my Treg, my main dealer want the car back for "up to three days" to resolve an airbag warning light which they were unable to sort during the service.

This will involve pulling the entire dash out to get at the wiring loom - has anyone come accross this before ? - i'm also concerned that the re-install of the dash will be a bit of a mess ?.

generaly its the wiring under seat check the tech bullitin on it

just checked and theres no recalls on it for that..

However if a fault has been logged in VAG-COM (or VW own application) I would suggest asking a few more questions in great detail to find out what there planning to do...

Also..... make sure they dont send you away in a VW FOX as the hire car for 3 days....!!

hi, just had a long chat with richard Alexander's in Harrogate - they've had to send it to their Leeds dealership who are now talking with VW technical in Milton Keynes - pretty peeved right now with it.

to quote: "i doubt you'll get it back til end of next week at the earliest"

not feeling the VW love on this one.....

Richard Alexander is my local... Huddesfield and Leeds...

sounds to me like they got it in bit and could put it back together...

if i rember right... the Harrogate dealer ship is pretty small??
