hi there haven't posted for a while but my golf has been running sweet for a while except for the otha day i was just driving nornally through my local town when the car started the judder and i could hear it sucking in air i think the problems are related but it noly seems to happen whn it is at about 3000RPM and it lacks in power to it has got a 32/34 DMTL weber on it jetted correctly for a 1.6 i think the CO is about 2% and it has a complete air box replacement K&N which i have cleaned and sealed between the botton of it and the carb any suggestions

I had a similar problem and it was the rubber gasket the carb sits on that had worn!

I find that those air filters make them run poorly whether hot or cold.
