Timing Belt Change

I have a audi a4 t 1998 model. its done 80k on the clock. The mot and service is due at the end of the month i was thinking of changing the timing belt too. when is the timing belt change recommended? i have received conflicting advice.

Its due at 80,000 miles so get it done,make sure they change the water pump too as they are known to fail.

water pump went a few weeks ago! got that all sorted. probably wise get it done with the mot and service might even get a discount :D
