I have an 06 (B7) Audi A4 2.0T with one of those new-fangled DBW gas pedals... I've run into a couple of annoyances - the pedal is pretty mushy at the top - it has about 1/2 in. play before anything happens!? - Also, intermittently it doesn't do anything at all - I have to pump it a few times and then it works... odd...
Anyone have any idea what's going on or have a similar experience? Fix?
Can the DBW module be adjusted so the pedal engages sooner?
cheers

The DBW throttle is basically a variable resistor which tells the engines ECU what position the pedal is at and therefore how much gas to put in.
It sounds very much like you have a duff connection in the pedal itself, I would recommend getting this looked at as it could just give up the ghost completely!!
Cheers

thanks - yes, I think you're right - tough I'm having a hard time convincing the service guys that that they should replace this under warranty... when they test drove it (for 10 minutes) they thought it was fine - sigh...

Should get them to drive yours and then another one they have on the lot and see what they say then!!
