Service Indicator

Hi Guys,

I am due to service my A3 1.9tdi Quattro Sport and was wondering how easy is it to reset the service indicator using Vag com 704? (As i have windows vista)

Also would you recommend variable or fixed intervals?

its pretty easy if you follow the online demo/manual on the following link. (then i think its applications -> SRI reset)

but, v704 requires a ross-tech ONLY cable to operate. the aftermarket cables will only (apparently) run with up to v409. which doesnt like vista.

this means it'll cost $229 for a cable and license, not including any shipping or duty that might be slapped on it.

i would speak nicely to someone you know that has XP on their laptop :)
