I have a problem with the heater on my 1991 Golf 8V GTI. It runs hot air fine on setting 0 or 1, but as soon as I increase to setting 2 or 3, it starts to blow colder air. I assume there must be a blockage somewhere. I have checked the non-return valves on the inlet / outlet to the heater and they are both clear, however the one on the inlet doesn't seal fully but I don't know if this is normal or not. Any other suggestions are very welcome, especially as it is getting colder !
