golf 1.8 head

I have just got a 1.8 golf engine to strip down. Can anybody tell me what size socket I will require to remove the cylinder head bolts?

you will need a set of spline sockets as normal sockets will not suffice.

Hi, i would not try Torx sockets, altough they work ok, they are not able to take the torque and i have stripped myself a bolt once ! Buy the right M10 or M12 spline bit as long as possible so you can take the head off without taking off the camshaft....
