I was chatting to my Audi dealer about enabling the Lap timer (as found in the S3) on my 2008 Audi TT. He said the DIS are exactly the same, they even load the same software updates for the DIS on the cars. He said the Lap Timer is possible but they would need the "Long code" to enable the Lap Timer and Audi is not forth coming with this info. They also confirmed that one could do this through Vag COM http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/smile.gif So I bought my Vag Com cable and connected up with 704 and all is well http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/smile.gif So Now I would like to ask you experts out there how we can find this "Long code" they talking about to enable the Lap Timer?

Ah -- the instrument clusters on those cars do not use long coding. However, this feature might be buried in an Adaptation channel. Post up data from your instrument cluster please.
