Hi,

Looking at the Leon, 1.9 (or 2.0) TDI, on a 56/07 plate. probably a Stylance.

Anyone tell me it's good or bad points?

Any comments welcomed!!!

Thanks, Max

Check footwells for water/damp carpets.
My turbo bearings collapsed at 56k miles, also required new intercooler. New discs and brake pads at 55k miles.
Good enough car returning 50 mpg.
Good luck.

I have just bought a 2.0ltr diesel leon.

What does "mapped" mean?

Not really after more power, it has enough, but even more economy sounds good

I just had a test drive of a Leon FR170 TDi re-mapped to 205bhp (on paper, but realistically around 220bhp on a rolling road). It's basically plugging in a VAG computer and altering the software on the ECU. The one I test drove went like the clappers yet returned 45mpg, and I was caining it. Supposedly adds bhp and returns better mpg!
Costs between £250-£500 I believe.
