hi all,
this has probably been done to death but i'll ask anyway.
I have a 1991 1.8 8v GTi that once started runs sweet, if i stop the car after a short time and restart it it losses power and fluctuates at tickover. When full throttled the revs slowly pick up and the speed is not as good as before.
I have replaced the pugs and leads, checked the dizzy and have also cleaned the MAF.
A friend is going to lend me their MFA to double check but any other ideas would be grateful.
