I've been told by my vw garage that the flap motors need replacing - the noise coming fromt he heating/aircon unit in the car sounds painful and has been getting worse since the garage serviced the aircon unit last summer (no noise before then). They have quoted me a staggering £1100 to supply and fit - and all to reduce the noise as the heater unit works ok. Has anyone else had this problem? Seems crazy expensive and I am sure it's related to the work done last year but unfortunately I have probably let it go too long so it's now my word against theirs. The car is out of warranty so I'm thinking of finding someone else to do it. Would like advice and any other similar experience.
