Hello,
I have 2002 TDI. Someone stole the key. so i ordered the replacement key.
It opens and closed the door but do not start the car.
I ordered Vag Tacho, i was able to read imo pin code, i can read and write milage, but when i try to add new key error comes back "invalid pin code."
Can someone shed some light what i am doing wrong.
Thanks
P.S
I hate spending $150 for programming

I havent used vagtacho to add new keys but Ive used vagcom, seeing as how you have vagtacho and the PIN try using vagcom to programme the new key. Thats of course if you have vagcom and the appropriate cable to do this.

Where did you get the key from?
is it new or used?
if its used it wont work, they can only be coded to one car.

hi what i ment was did you buy the key new or was it second hand? if it has already been used in an immobillizer 3 car you cannot code it to your car, you have to buy them new. Not sure if vw can do them but you can't with Vag com and Vagtacho.
