Interior light

The interior light does not go out when the car is started or when the car is locked. At the same time, the alarm has stopped making a sound when the car is locked.

I have checked to see if the swithes on the doors are OK, but can't see where they are, and tried to check the boot (again not sure what I'm looking for) and boonet switches.

I have swithced the interior light off for now until this is sorted.

The car is a Audi 80, 1994 M reg.

If i remember correct, they do not have switches for the interior lights, which is why you cannot find them;).

As with a lot of the VAG cars, they are incorporated into the door and boot lock mechanisms, or latches.

I expect that one of these is faulty.
