There is no voltage at the holder for the rear tail light.
All other bulbs on the car all work correctly.
Has any body any idea where fault could be or a schematic diagram for the lighting circuit.
Thanks

Had same problem with sisters 2004 A3 this week. The rear left driving light bulb was blown so replaced it but it still wouldn't light, Did a wiggle test but no good so stuck a volt meter on it only to find no voltage. Was a bit stumped as all other lights indicators etc on the car were ok and a failed fuse would take out more than one bulb. Checked all fuses in boxes OK. While checking fuses in box in engine bay noticed a couple needed to be pushed home a bit but all were ok. Tapped the relays a bit (just a habit) I feared the worst ie. a pcb mounted mini relay in a control unit as I had this in a volvo of mine before...fixed it but nasty and not for diy. Anyway after my poking around hey presto there is a god and voltage returned poped in bulb and success. wiggled wires to see if it would flicker No rock solid. Put cluster back and has been fine since.. fingers crossed. You know what they say better be lucky than good!

Get the car scanned for faults. A diagnostic check is the best place to start.

Either take it to a VAG specialist or find someone with VCDS who could help you.
