Polo Indicator sound not working

Hi,

I really hope you can help me - I'm reluctant to pay to have this fixed as I'm positive with the right help, we'll be able to do it ourselves. Since I bought my Polo 2 years ago, the sound for the indicators has not worked, nor has the warning alarm if I leave the lights on.

I'm sure it's just a fault with the wiring but we have never been able to locate the wiring for the alarm/indicator.

If anyone knows where such wiring is on the Polo, I'd really appreciate your advice.

Hi, I was wondering if you managed to solve this as I have the same problem with my polo gt

It is possible the sounder in the dash has failed, this is tested using the output test function with a diagnostic computer but if faulty it is built into the dash panel so requiring a new panel or having the old one repaired by a display specialist. Unfortunately new or second hand panels are not plug and play because the immobiliser unit is inside and this has to be matched to the car using specialised equipment.
