Hi,
I took a 1997 Passat Tdi Sport for a test drive today.
The car was excellent, I'm well impressed with the passat. However, I am a bit concerned about the clutch. The bite point seems to be at the top of the pedal travel. Is that normal? Felt a bit weird to me so wasnt sure what to make of it. There was no slipping or anything during the test drive.

Thanks
Alan

My 2.0 petrol is the same. Think somebody else with an A4 commented the same thing.

Yeah, my petrol model too. Biting point is pretty much at the top of the travel. No problems from it in a year though. Car before this, elderly accent, had a biting point even higher - pretty much at the top of the pedal, but that did 40K miles of abuse with no problems either. Until some ***** drove into me at 60. *rolls eyes*.
