Need a bit of help please..

Recently purchased a Audi 2000 (w) reg TT 1.8T 225 bhp. It’s got roughly 55,000 miles on the clock and has had a full Audi service dealership service history. The service book states the cambelt should be replaced at 118,000 kms but from my own experience and what other reviews have been stating it’s best to get the Cambelt changed now.

Can anyone suggest a good local garage around East London way? I’ve contacted my local garage and they’ve said they can’t do the works, something about not have the right tools, I have to go to Audi dealership, etc. This can’t be true through? I was intending to buy the parts myself from GSF Car Parts https://secure.gsfcarparts.com (https://secure.gsfcarparts.com/) has anyone got any experience with them? What exactly do I need to buy? Should I also get the timing belt & ribbed belt replaced as well? What exactly are these?

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks again.

There are many indy's who will do your cam belt change, it is also recommended you have water pump changed aswell.

Check out this link www.tt-forum.co.uk (http://www.tt-forum.co.uk) loads and loads of info on there.
