Towbar install - Do I need a relay?

Just got my towbar kit with single electrics. The kit has scotch connectors but in the instructions it warns about cars with lamp failure sensing should use a by-pass relay.

SHould I use a relay? Or is that a plug/socket already installed for the electrics? Das Haynes is very useful on this one!!

Yes, I do need a relay to stop the blub failure sensing, still not sure about wehter there is a plug in there!
