A bit of a puzzle!
My 2003 2.0 Passat has just reached 60K miles and was duly serviced by my local VW Van dealer (it's next to my office!). They replaced all 4 wheels discs and pads, which I was expecting. Before the repair I did not have any warning light, but now the Brake Pad Warning Light comes on whenn I first start the car. If I turn off and re-start, the light does not come back on.
At my first trip back to the garage I was told it was becasue there was too much brake fluid in the reservoir, so they took some out.
Anyone have a clue as to why the light should come off and on when there are new brakes all round. Could it be a loose sensor?
