A6 Parking brake problems (2005)

Hi,

Friend of mine is having trouble with his A6 parking brake. The left hand rear wheel would not release after the brake was disengaged. Rang a Main dealer and they recommended replacing control unit which is located in the boot. Followed that proceedure with no results. Diagnosed fault as motor failure on left rear wheel. Got replacement motor, reset faults and it worked yesterday

Today its doing the same again.:zx11: any idea's. Its a UK import so the main dealers is not too keen on helping out..

So it has a new controller and caliper?

Correct. New controller and new caliper. Reset the brakes using Bosch esitronic Diagnotic tools. Maybe I didn't do the reset proceedure correctly?

Possibly but I haven't used the KTS system although it is pretty straightforward.
