Golf Mk4 headlight bulb change

Hi,

Could anyone help me as to how to replace the headlight bulbs on my golf mk4? I have a pair of xenon bulbs which i would like to put in place of the existing bulbs. I have a torx 25 key, which fits the headlight restrait/harness (not sure what it is called), but i am unsure what to do next.

Any help would be greatly apprechiated, thanks for your time!

Also, from reading a previous thread, I understand that some xenon bulbs require a kit? however, one person, DaveG has managed to fit these bulbs without a kit.

Is it possible then to fit them without the need for a kit?

If you have something like Phillips Blus Vision bulbs, then I though they were a simple like for like replacment. The bulbs look exactly the same as regular bulbs, but just perfomr better, in which case its simpley take one out, and put the other in. Are you sure you are no talking about HID bulbs, whihc would require a kit to install.
