cold oil that is maybe abit to heavy for the engine, maybe change to a lighter oil.

When was the oil last changed?? Id be tempted to agree the oil is to heavy or needs changed! Also make sure theres not to much oil in!!

The thermo time switch only injects fuel via the 5th injector for as long at the starter is operating and below the switch operating temperature, up to a period of around 12 seconds. Aside from the ideas about oil viscosity I would check the battery is up to the task and that the starter is OK. One that often causes problems is the earth lead from the body earth point to the gearbox; these go high resistance and cause cold starting problems.
