View Full Version : 1.8T Dump Valve Change How To..?

Hi,

I'm looking to change the standard valve to a Forge 007.

Couldn't find a walk through in the How To section so was wondering if anyone had done it themselves and if so if you had a walk through or some photos of the engine bay in various stages to get me started?

I did mine in the end with the only knowledge that the valve was underneath the car (nr ofside front) and the dirt pan would need to be removed before I could get to it.

I'll try and find time at the weekend to go into more depth and maybe have a picture or 2 to go with it.

I have bought a Forge Splitter from UK and is now in sending process. I hope that the package comes in the weekend.

aint the 007 a closed loop ?
do u still get the psstttttttttttttttttt from a 007 ?

Its a direct replacement so just make sure you have it the same way round and the correct size jubilee clips.

I hoped to use that when I changed mine but on a '54 A4 the DV is only accessible through the floor pan, its not on the top of the engine.
