audi a3 clutch

hi guys need some advice seem to be having a problem with my clutch it seems to be sticking on occasions is it hydraulic or cable as the problem isnt always there any help guys its a 2004 a3 tdi

IIRC they are hydraulic, could be a knackered slave or master cylinder

thanks for the reply might it just need toppin up plus any idea were it is as i cant seem to get a manual for it

The clutch uses the brake fluid, so try a brake fluid change first before looking at anything else.
