I have a golf mk4 1.4 t reg ive been having problems with revs bouncing and car stalling it went to a garage who narrowed it to throttle body and breather tube collapsed and was blocked

They have assured me it all didnt need replacing and many garages would make me change throttle body and something else

What they have done is fully cleaned my throttle body and aligned it or something and blasted the blockage through till i can get the breather tube

What they did was actually take the tube off the side of the airbox temp untill this pipe comes i ordered the pipe which came from vw and they said it was safe to drive around till i fit it is this true?????

Also im going to have to fit this tube on a night time how hard is it to fit?

In all fairness when i got it back without that tube plugged in and the work they did it never stalls and revs dont bounce and pulls really well now so they must have hit the problem

Cheers guys

The pipe goes soft with age and often needs replacing. Is it all OK now?

It goes down the back of the engine to the breather unit and is held on with a worm drive clip.

It may be a crimp clip.
