Transporter starter and glow problems?

I have a 2.4 1996 transporter, (not td or tdi)

I have had problems starting and ended up replacing plugs. This worked, but it seems that the plugs burn out or something.

any ideas what I should check to find out awhats up.

The engine starts, but takes quite a few turn overs. After replacingteh plugs last week it started first turn even when very cold.

Replace the glow plugs relay as it may be sticky or faulty. Also its a good ideea to get Bosch heavy duty glow plugs as they last longer and they dont burn as easy as the standard duty ones (you will notice that they are thicker than ordinary ones). Ask your dealer for them or do a google search or check tdiforum for the right part number...Hope this helps.

Hi there. I have now replaced the plugs, and injectors, the electric seem to be working fine, but i still get really bad starting on teh first cold start of the day. from then on it is fine and it seems to run fine.
I am stuck on this.

Could it be just as simple as a filter/fluid flush and change?
