Hello

New member here but already read loads of good stuff in the forum.

After some advice.

I am in the process of changing my 241 bhp RX8 (mpg hell) for a 2004 A3 140 TDI Sport (mpg heaven). Ideally i'm after one with the dsg / s-tronic box but I am also planning on a remap for the A3.

Does the dsg box cope well with the increased bhp/torque post remap or am I better off in the long run choosing a manual.?

I plan on keeping the car for 3 years / 40k miles. Also, can the suspension / brake set up of the Sport cope easily with the increase?

I'm an Average Joe when it comes to car mechanics so apologies if the answer is obvoius.

Advice much appreciated.

Thanks

The S-Tronic will cope extremely well with the extra horses. After all, you can get the 170 tdi a3 with it, the 200bhp 2.0TFSI a3, the 250bhp 3.2 quattro TT and the 277bhp TTS Quattro

What remap are you looking at?

I have thought about the BSR one that will give 170, have you had any recommended?

Cheers
